Under the full support of the School Union, the College of Basic Medical Science organized a hike for its faculties in the South Lake Park on the afternoon of October 16. In so doing, the College hopes to enrich the after-work lives of the faculties, promote a healthy lifestyle, and fight off the Pandemic.

The hike, which lasted more than one hour, began at the Changchun Liberation Memorial site in South Lake Park, and was met with the active participation of the faculties. Laughter and spirited discussions could be heard along the trek, as the faculties immersed themselves in the charm of the changing seasons, and unwound from the stress of work. The sky was clear and the sunlight bright, ripples stirred across the lake, and leaves of yellow and crimson swirled in the wind. The more energetic lots paced briskly, while others were in no hurry. In the relaxed hour or so, the teachers fully took in the beauty of Northern China’s winter.

This hike was an actual exercise for the body, a reminder for health awareness, and a fight against the Pandemic. It also sparked greater cohesion among the faculties, and displayed the positive image of our College.
